We purchase Arabica grade green coffee beans directly from a broker for the freshest coffee available. We roast beans in-house in small batches so you're assured the freshest, finest-quality product. We grind one to two pounds at a time and package our products by hand. Our flavored coffees and teas are blended in-house, as well, delivering a unique, flavor-filled treat!

Coffee, Tea & Spice offers a variety of decaffeinated coffees, including Swiss Water(tm) Processed. Swiss Water processing decaffeinates through a water-based process, as opposed to a chemical process, to preserve flavor and freshness. We also offer Shade Grown Coffees - grown in the under story of the rain forest. They're environmentally friendly, bird friendly, and taste bud friendly!

CTS specializes in fresh-roasted coffee, loose leaf and bagged tea, delightful gift boxes for corporate or individual gift giving, and our always-popular Coffee and Tea Clubs. Our "Of the Month" subscriptions deliver fresh-roasted coffee or tea right to your door each month! All clubs customarily ship on the 1st of each month via USPS mail.

Common Roasts

• Cinnamon or American Roast - Very light roast found in less expensive, commercial brands. The longer beans are roasted, the more weight is lost so less expensive coffees are usually light roasted.
• City Roast - Lightest gourmet roast. A good city roast will be slightly acidic while developing the full flavor of the bean.
• Full City Roast - Slightly darker than a city roast, this roast produces a heavier and slightly caramel taste to the bean. Some coffees do not come to full flavor unless they are full roasted.
• French Roast - Dark roast with little or no remaining acidity. This roast produces a slightly burnt taste which many people find very enjoyable. The oil of the bean begins to leach to the surface producing a shiny look.
• Italian Espresso Roast - Our darkest roast. The beans are black, brittle and shiny producing a distinctly burnt flavor with no acidity. Used for making espresso and cappuccino.
